If the shark is too large and you want to keep it you will have to drag it in the water back to base with a wire or rope.
Sharks should only be kept if the intentions are to eat them or hang them on the wall. They have been over fished in the past and used only for their fins, which is now illegal. Help protect the sharks by cutting the line and letting them go, the hook will eventually rot out and will not harm the shark if the line is cut.

A Quick History of the Personal Watercraft
Snaking on the waters with your personal watercraft is a great experience. The ride alone gives you a heightened sense of excitement. In the late sixties, the Bombardier family thought of a concept vehicle that would soon become the core of an extremely exciting and competitive industry. What the Bomvardier family wanted was a vehicle that would resemble the famed Ski-Doo snowmobile but would run on water. Being a family who spent their summers on and around the lakes of the Laurentian region of Quebec, the Bombardier household would sensibly have a certain liking towards water sports.
In a move to realize their goals, the Bombardier family approached vehicle engineer Clayton Jacobsen II. Jacobsen happened to be planning to initiate a similar project, a motorcycle-like vehicle that can be driven on water. The two parties joined their heads and their resources to create the first ever personal watercraft.
Jacobsen initially started with a stand-up design. However, Bombardeir wanted to go for a model that allows the rider to sit while handling the vehicle. Starting with an 18-hp Rotax engine provided by the Bombardier Family, Jacobsen went to complete the sit-down design of his machine.
In 1968, the Bombardier family and Jacobsen were able to pull of a successful series of tests and soon announced the birth of the Sea-Doos (a play on the name of Bombardiers famous snowmobile line). Bombardier then updated the engine and integrated it with a liquid cooling mechanism after a year. The move was an update of Jacobsen's design, which was basically cooled by air intake. But soon, the Bombardier family gave up on the project as they failed to solve mechanical issues as other problems with the engine.
Jacobsen tried to convince the Bombardier company to go on with project. He insisted that the models needed to be tweaked and adjustments should be made like integrating rubber components and waterproofing the body. Jacobsen's suggestions were ignored by Bombardier and the project was shelved.
Jacobsen, determined to finished what he started, bought the rights of the patent and presented the design to Kawasaki in 1971. With some tweaks of the initial design by Jacobsen, Kawasaki was able to create a better, more practical variant of the personal watercraft. In 1973, Kawasaki introduced the Jet Ski, the first commercial personal watercraft. Today, the term Jet Ski means all types of water crafts, even though Kawasaki Motors is the registered owner of the trademark.

My Top Three Ways To Enjoy Summer Time
My absolute favorite time of the year is summer time. I have so many friends that seem like they have a whole new personality when summer is approaching. Like my friends, I love getting out as soon as the weather turns warm, whether that means meeting my friends after work on a restaurant patio, or having them over for a backyard bar-b-que, or going for bike rides and hikes in the sunny weather.
I recently had someone ask me what it was about summer that I loved so much. They asked what my top three favorite things about summer time would be. Well, I couldn't decide right away, because there are just so many things that you can do in summer that you can't do in the winter, and I love everyone of them. I wanted to make sure that if I came up with a list of top three summer things, it would really be my favorite things.
After a week I was able come up with a top three list. My top three would be 1. cooking on my Big Green Egg BBQ, 2. spending time on my Seadoo, and 3. gardening. I tried to pick three diverse activities that in total would really capture my love of summer time. There are other things I love about summer but these are my favorite activities.
Cooking is a favorite hobby of mine, and I take every chance I can to attend any cooking class or watching cooking shows on HGTV or The Food Network. I just love the dinner and wine classes that are given at the LCBO (liquor and wine store) downtown. So I am forever looking up recipes and trying new things out. About 5 years ago my mother contributed towards a house warming gift for me, and it turned out that my partner and I got a Big Green Egg for our bar-b-que. We've never looked back, and I have to say that bar-b-quing with the Big Green Egg is a gourmet chef's bbq dream! I'm not a gourmet chef yet, but with this charcoal smoker/convection oven/bbq, I can smoke, roast, bake, grill - you name it, I can cook it on the big green egg!
My next top three item is being out on the lake at our cottage on my seadoo. I've always loved the water growing up, and I tended to be out on the water anytime I had the chance. But now that I've grown up, bought my own cottage, and bought my partner and I each a seadoo, that is where I spend most of my cottage days. From the time I haul them to the cottage and take off the sea-doo covers, to the time they are packed up and taken home for storage, they are barely given a rest.
Gardens have always been a part of my life. Ever since I was little and followed my mother around with the weed pail it just seems that I enjoy gardening and the beauty my gardens provide more and more each year. It seems to me that judging your results success by the average catches on such a water is not accurate at all; after all, how does any individual know what is truly able to be achieved?

This in effect means that the first 3 or more days and nights fishing can be mostly a waste of time. The fish just hang back while the baits become leached of flavours etc, and the fish become more confident on feeding on such baits because they have associated leached bait with safe feeding.
Thinking about the bigger picture on a very pressured water, Mr average angler turns up, baits-up, fishes 48 hours and leaves fishless, and then most usually the next angler turns up in the swim and does the same things: with similar poor average results. This kind of pattern happens all year round on so many carp waters these days. Now and again, the angler who happens to time it lucky catches fish over all the old bait left by other anglers, but is mostly oblivious to this artificially built-up phenomenon. An anglers luck may be as bad as the old gone-off bait that fish have left uneaten; oblivious that the foul bait has killed-of the popular swim!
When carp fishing becomes an automatic function of relatively thoughtless actions, the results become mediocre and this is no surprise as so many anglers simply underestimate the sensitivity of carp to angling baits, tackle, and all the kinds of active and inactive presences of anglers they detect so easily; what worked previously is not guaranteed to work today! On pressured waters each day can find the fish acting differently as you might do in order to consistently stay one step ahead of a predator, (and sometimes this is one example of why man evolved being able to be self-aware, rationalise problems and think of solutions, but this is vastly under-used in fishing!)
As one example, I was very fortunate to catch a very rare white coloured mirror carp (not a koi) of 38 pounds, which had not been caught in over 7 years, from one very heavily-fished UK carp fishery. I obviously did something right on this occasion if you think of the thousands of anglers and hours which did not produce this fish in all this time, and it was a very unusual bait and baiting application method (and frequency) that caught this great fish and others that followed.)
In this case I chose and applied new attractor and feeding trigger substances in bait forms that had not been used or rarely if ever exploited at this water before along with a new baiting approach with an unusual frequency of baiting and these and associated differences have made such a difference to results personally, on a range of waters. All it takes is consideration of the particular ways the fish have become conditioned by the anglers' baits, methods and thinking that dominates the water historically and each water differs in various key ways in this, that you might well be able to exploit in your own unique ways. You can make a big difference by being different in almost any individual or combination of ways!
If you take the time to analyse the short-term and long-term impacts of what other anglers are doing on your water and link that to the negative (or positive) impacts on fish behaviours over any time period, you may begin to see how to exploit both fish and angler behaviour creatively. This thought is unique to your fishing situation at any point in time so will most likely produced the most accurately tuned possible actions, processes, thoughts and actions to solve the particular fishing challenges present.
