Australia is undoubtedly one of the most popular places in the world for people to visit for their vacation. This is simply because there is something to suit everybody’s tastes in his vast country. You have lots of cities to explore as well as fantastic mountain ranges. There is the Great Barrier Reef and Golden sandy beaches, and who could forget Uluru (Ayers rock) and the amazing outback.

To explore this vast country you have to think about your travel arrangements very carefully.

There are three main ways that you could travel around Australia to discover all its beauty.

Air travel is your first option when looking to explore Australia. There are numerous internal flights that you can catch to discover the many different cities. Some of these flights can be quite long though.

If you decide to travel from Sydney to Perth it could take you four hours. It is advisable to book in advance for these flights or it may get expensive. The main airline that runs this trip is Qantas, but you could find a budget airline such as Jet star or Virgin Blue that may have a discounted fare.

Sea travel is the second option. With Australia being a large island there are many of its major cities that are accessible by sea. Many different cruises run all along the Australian coastline. There is also the famous international terminal at Sydney’s circular quay.

If you are not too concerned about spending money you could always hire a yacht or charter a private boat to see the Australian coastline. Alternatively the Great Barrier Reef has quite a few small trips that you could take in.

Finally you could hire a camper van or a car and travel along Australia’s many roads. You can discover the rural side of Australia and visit many of the small towns that you would not normally see by Air or sea. This may be a slower option than the other two but it would probably be a lot more economical.
