Many individuals have an immense fear that cruise ships are relatively unsafe means of transportation. They are frightened that they may sink, or that the ship will may become a target of pirates or terrorists and other types of situations.

The fact is, statistics shows that European river cruises are among the safest tours in the world. If something does occur, they are close to land and help may be sought now. In terms of crime situation, the figure is very negligible. Besides, all ships have law enforcement personnel and exercise tight security measures.
